Another casual marvel has surfaced on the iPhone appstore. Diamond Island is an addictive puzzle game that sports over 100 levels for your gaming pleasure. Each level consists of you trying to move giant totem blocks across an island and placing them in predefined shapes on the ground. Sounds simple at first, and it is, but as you progress through the levels more and more interactive obstacles will come your way. You will have to raise bridges, ride rafts and a lot more.
Controls are very straight forward, you basically move the totem by swiping your finger anywhere on the screen, you can rotate it in any direction and flip it on any of its sides. You will have to plan your moves and take into account the terrain to reach your destination. By completing missions and collecting enough diamonds you will be able to collect different spells.
The 100 game levels are divided between 10 ancient archipelagos, each one having a different art design and set of obstacles. Some players may get annoyed at latter levels by their difficulty, but all it takes is patience to complete them giving you a lot of satisfaction in the end. All in all Diamond Island is one of the few apps in the store that will offer everything promised and a lot more for the money you pay.
