Gameloft has just released another interesting game: The Oregon Trail! It is a Wild West themed adventure game that keeps all the awesome features of the original computer game. They have managed to port The Oregon Trail to the iPhone and Ipod Touch without making it loose any of its former fun and addictiveness.

The game consists of a main plot line that puts you in charge of a caravan that has to travel the mid west in order to get to the Promised Land - Oregon. Along the way you have to complete many tasks that take the form of mini games: from hunting, fishing, rafting, etc.

Impressions:
- The Oregon Trail is a complex game that offers the player lots of choices and hours of interesting game play.
- The graphics are cartoonish but they fit perfectly with the overall atmosphere.
- Controls are easy and intuitive taking advantage both of the touch screen and the accelerometer.
- There are a few loading times but fortunately they aren’t very long.

The Oregon Trail’s Features:
- All of the decision-making and problem-solving fun of the original game, plus additional parameters to take the Oregon Trail experience even further than you’ve played before.
- 8 skill-based mini-games, including 2 accelerometer-based challenges: hunting, fishing, river crossing, rafting, wagon repairing, telegraph, berry picking, and gold panning.
- Random events (disease, bandits, hitchhikers, etc.) faced by real pioneers increases the challenge.
- Side-missions add more excitement to your journey, affecting your westward trek.
- Prepare for your departure: Select the members of your party, choose your departure date and purchase supplies.
- Highly recommended for fans of retro gaming, edutainment, educational games, and strategy.

You can purchase it from the App Store for 5.99$
