24 Special Ops - iPhone Review

When you have an Iphone in your hand you know that you are holding a great piece of technology, but if you have an Iphone with the new 24 Special Ops game you will also hold one wicked gaming machine. This app officially gives the Iphone what it always needed, a game with great production value, story and the official, nr 1 badass voice in the world, of Jack Bauer.
Honestly, a game based on the TV series of 24 is a sure win, you could have made it only with the face of Jack and him saying every 2 seconds ‘Bauer here’ and it still would have been a must have game, but the developers have done even better. They managed to bring the feeling of the TV series to the iPhone by giving you a well rounded story with lots of action and interesting minigames.
There are 3 minigames that add a lot to the gameplay ,spicing things up: code breaking , bomb defusing and car chasing .

By now you might have noticed that we at Gamedroid are huge 24 fans, but we also try to give objective reviews. That is why we must tell you about the controls. I don’t really know why the devs thought of laying the controls in this fashion. They basically managed to make the player cover half the screen with its thumbs most of the gameplay. You basically have 4 directional keys one in each corner of the screen and you shoot bad guys by holding your finger on the screen enough for a damage meter to fill and score a head shot.

Warning: don not install this game on and Iphone that has some kind of Chuck Norris app, because the coolness of Jack Bauer is all the iPhone can take.

CON’s:
- The graphics are cartoonish but not in a good way , they could have been much better
- Not enough of Jack Bauer’s voice
