I will start this review with a hint: if you are an Iphone developer, and you don’t have an original idea for a game just copy a successful one from the PC or Console market. Of course, an idea is not enough; you also have to do a good implementation, this being the part where a lot of developers fail, even big ones like Capcom with their MegaMan 2 port. But this is not the case of Tapolous and their Tap Tap Revenge series.
In this review I am going to talk about Tap Tap Coldplay. This game is the latest and probably the best release in the Tap Tap Revenge series which also includes: Tap Tap Revenge, Tap Tap Revenge 2, Tap Tap Dance and Nine Inch Nails Revenge. The first two are both free downloads on the appstore and include a multitude of free songs to download online.

I don’t know if I like this game because of the great gameplay or the fact that I am a huge Coldplay fan, maybe both, but one thing I am sure is that this is a must have game for anyone. There are a ton of reasons why you shouldn’t pass this great game. It is one of the most addictive games on the appstore that also has beautiful graphics, great controls and of course 10 free songs to play through from none others than Coldplay, with the possibility of downloading more.

The game is based on popular console games like Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution, but brings its own flavor by taking advantage of the best that the Iphone can offer. You can use the multitouch to tap through the beats or shake the phone left and forward as the arrows fall to complete the tracks beautiful rendered on the Iphone’s screen.

The themes, menus, graphics and effects are inspired by the Coldplay videos, sinking you even deeper in the gameplay and mood of the songs. There are also boss tracks, each with its own amazingly designed theme that can be unlocked by completing each of the four difficulty levels.
Tap Tap Coldplay also includes a multiplayer mode, in which two players can challenge their skills at the game simultaneously on the same Iphone, each having half of the screen with the top and bottom for tapping the beats. It also includes a Facebook connection so you can display your scores for bragging rights, and another great future that is a Coldplay news feed.

Features:

-Songs from Coldplay included in the package: -Lovers in Japan, Lost, In My Place, Fix You, Life In Technicolor, Clocks, Yellow, Shiver, Speed Of Sound, Viva La Vida and Viva La Vida( Thins White Duke Remix)
-Four difficulty levels
-Boss tracks to unlock
-Multiplayer game
-Facebook connectivity for high scores
-Coldplay news feeds

Pros:

-Great presentation for an Iphone game
-Beautiful graphics, beautiful songs and great controls
-Very addictive game

Cons:
-Only ten songs

Gamedroid recommends:
Also download Tap Tap Revenge 2, as you would have no real reason not to, with it being free and offering 150 songs to download also for free and play through on your Iphone or online, this is one o the best deals for an app that you can get on the store.

Price:

It is available at the App Store for 4.99$
