Just stumbled upon T.A.N.K. Arena Battle, produced by “G.A.M.E.S” , a beautiful designed 3D action tank game that caught our eyes with its impressive graphics and 3D animation and overall fun game play.T.A.N.K. Arena Battle reminded us of a 3D version of iCombat but with less features and fewer levels. The game has lots of potential but for now it feels a bit unfinished. Read the rest of this entry »

Need For Speed Undercover - iPhone Review

Posted by cris On May - 10 - 2009

NFS, iPhone, ReviewEA just raised the bar in racing games, bringing the popular Need For Speed series to the iPhone platform; putting games like Fast and the Furios, Fastlane and others to shame with it’s stelar graphics, exciting and fresh gameplay, smoth controls and cut’s scenes featuring real movie stars like Cristina Milian.

Need For Speed Undercover is a fast paced arcade racer that is in close touch with its console heritage. The gameplay’s been adjusted for the casual nature of the iPhone platform, though. You simply tilt to steer, tilt more to drift, touch the screen to brake, and do nothing to accelerate (it’s automatic). Simple touch gestures handle nitro boost and “speedbreaker,” the game’s slow-motion mode.

iFPS Online

iFPS Online is an online first person shooter arena game, that brings battlematches to the iPhone / iPod Touch for those who want some fragging action on the go.

snakegalaxy-main-1

Back in the day , Snake was the epiphany of mobile gaming , if you had a Nokia 3310 with Snake you pretty much had it all. The game was incredibly addictive and was one of the first mobile games that really showed everyone that the mobile device was a great gaming platform. Since the launch of the App Store some have tried to bring something new to the Snake game genre , a noticeable one was Robo Snake 3D an interesting attempt with nice 3D graphics but with few maps and a game play that quickly became repetitive. Snake Galaxy launched today by Dig Dog brings the classic snake game back ! With frequent new planet updates this game has the potential of being one of those iconic iPhone games ! io - iPhone Review

Posted by seth On April - 28 - 2009

io, game
IO the much awaited side scrolling platform game from Chiilingo is finally out ! But unfortunately it seems like someone in the dev team played a joke and released it WAY to soon. The game feels totally unfinished , even from the menu settings things like “Show/Hide FPS” or “Show/Hide Skeleton” point to that. We started a new game and the bad surprises kept coming. It took almost 30 sec to load , most of the screen is covered in controls with huge buttons for JUMP and RUN/WALK/CROUCH toggle and a tiny D-pad that has extremely cramped directionals controls. The actual game screen is half the iPhone’s screen size, it looks like a forced 16:9 view. We played a bit , killed a mecha enemy but unfortunately kept dieing soon after for no apparent reason over and over again. We will be back with an update after we pass this curious impediment. Till then here is a short game play video : Read the rest of this entry »

2XL Supercross - iPhone Review

2XL Supercross

As the App Store grows so does the quality of the games on it, and a perfect example of this is the new 2XL Supercross. This is an all new off-road racing experience with probably the best graphics you will find in an Iphone game. The technology behind it is pretty impressive for a mobile game including: fully interactive 3d physics, surround sound, projected shadows and lightning and even particle effects. It really is amazing how the developers have managed to squeeze all of this on a game for the iPhone, and only shows the potential of this smart-phone. Read the rest of this entry »

Freeballin’ - iPhone Review

ballin-main

There are not a lot of pinball games on the Iphone, which is weird if you think about it, as this could be the perfect device for this kind of games. It has a huge screen, is capable of great graphics and has an accelometer that can be used to control different aspects of the game (shaking the ‘table’ for example) plus the force feedback from the hardware. You would basically have a pinball machine in your pocket.
The trend on the Iphone appstore always was for a great game to appear for a specific genre and after a ton of attempts from other developers to try to replicate its success. That was the case of Field Runners for tower defense games and this will be the case for Iugos’s Frebballin’ for pinball games. Read the rest of this entry »

Turbo Duck - iPhone Review

We at Gamedroid try to bring our reader the most fun and original game ideas available on the appstore. This task is hard because as we look through the store we stumble upon clones upon clones made after successful games. That may not be a bad thing, as so often a game will appear that will improve on the original, but sometimes you just want to play something different and unique. And Turbo Duck is just that, a fun and totally original game from the others on the iPhone App Store. Read the rest of this entry »
