As the App Store grows so does the quality of the games on it, and a perfect example of this is the new 2XL Supercross. This is an all new off-road racing experience with probably the best graphics you will find in an Iphone game. The technology behind it is pretty impressive for a mobile game including: fully interactive 3d physics, surround sound, projected shadows and lightning and even particle effects. Ice Stars - iPhone Review

Ice Stars is a fun and simple game that will offer you hours of fun with great cartoonish graphics and hockey based game play. This is not another air-hockey game, but a real hockey ‘simulation’ game done in a flash like manner.
Although it is on the medium priced list of apps, it does offer a lot for your buck. It manages to do this by offering an addictive game play with a series of mini-games that will pup up during the play session. These can vary from battling against other opponents in the ice ring to trying to win face-to-face puck tackling. You can access these mini-games during a hockey match or directly from the main menu. Finally a game based on the hit cartoon series Inspector Gadget is here. You get to play as all the main characters in the show: Inspector Gadget, Penny and their faithful dog Brain. The player gets to use different gadgets, to defeat enemies throughout the game; you even will get to use the famous Gadgetmobile and Gadget’Copter.
The game is a platform one and fans of this genre won’t be disappointed, also the game stays faithful to the show so you will get to encounter different characters, gadgets, and scenes from the cartoon. The game is based on the impressive Metal Gear Solid 4 ,featuring all the enemies of MGS4 including the beautiful and deadly members of the dreaded B&B corps.



FEATURES:
The game is easy to control , and very intuitive. You touch the screen and drag your finger to move the aiming sight. Once you have the enemy in sight you tap to shoot at him. You can take cover behind walls and other structures by taking your finger off the screen.
Using a sniper riffle is great fun and takes advantage of the multi touch capability of the iphone, you have to pinch the screen to zoom in and out .
Metal Gear Solid Touch is mainly a point and shoot game , you hide behind objects and take out your enemies with a variety of weapons . You have bonuses that if u hit unlock new weapons and capabilities. For example when you are attacked by a chopper if u hit the bonus target you get an RPG so you can take the helicopter out. Gameloft has just released another interesting game: The Oregon Trail! It is a Wild West themed adventure game that keeps all the awesome features of the original computer game. They have managed to port The Oregon Trail to the iPhone and Ipod Touch without making it loose any of its former fun and addictiveness.

The game consists of a main plot line that puts you in charge of a caravan that has to travel the mid west in order to get to the Promised Land - Oregon. Along the way you have to complete many tasks that take the form of mini games: from hunting, fishing, rafting, etc. Read the rest of this entry »
