It seams that a variety of game genres can be developed on the Iphone with great success, from strategy to puzzles to shooter and even sport simulators, they all work. A lot of these games, if made right, feel at home on the device. In this review we are going to take a look at ping-pong games for the Iphone. It may seam as a strange game for a mobile device, but it is not, because of the large touch screen.
Currently on the App Store there are 4 ping pong games: Table Tennis Star, iPingPong 3D, Zen Table Tennis and last but not least World Cup Ping Pong.

freefall-main
Freefall’n is a new skydiving game for the iPhone / iPod Touch , similar to the previous iSkidive but different in design and feel. The games have the same concept but Freefall’n ads some challenges and some better controls. iSkidive wins at graphics mainly because it has a 3D design but looses at handling and game play fun.
In Freefall’n your character jumps out of a plane , you have to steer him using the accelerometer to collect stars and fly through hoops (which multiply your points) .Collect as many stars as you can before you reach a safety zone after that you pull the cord and glide gently to a marked spot , the closer you land to the middle the more points you get. Mini Golf Ace - iPhone Review

Posted by cris On April - 8 - 2009

minigolface-main

Mini Golf Ace is not your regular run of the mill flashy , colorful , mini golf but a more clean and minimal approach to this kind of game. The producers wanted to create an alternative offering you the possibility to play mini golf on an stainless steel course with simple intuitive controls and clear soundfx. The game has no music but allows you to play while listening to your iPod , which is a good thing.
There are 18 lanes which have to be played the classical mini golf style from the first to the last one. Difficulty of the lanes differs, but there is no it’s-getting-harder-from-level-to-level, because that’s not the point of the game, the designers tried to provide a good mix of difficulty from lane to lane. Ice Stars is a fun and simple game that will offer you hours of fun with great cartoonish graphics and hockey based game play. This is not another air-hockey game, but a real hockey ‘simulation’ game done in a flash like manner.
Although it is on the medium priced list of apps, it does offer a lot for your buck. It manages to do this by offering an addictive game play with a series of mini-games that will pup up during the play session. These can vary from battling against other opponents in the ice ring to trying to win face-to-face puck tackling. You can access these mini-games during a hockey match or directly from the main menu.
